In 1 m³ of typical urban air there are around 140 million dust particles, 90% of these particles are under 2 microns. These particles can easily get through your compressors suction filter (5 micron) and will be dispersed within the pressurized air line. On the other hand, there is at least 6 mg/m³ in air which will combine with dust and humidity to corrode O-rings, gaskets and will rust the components of the installments resulting in leakages or valve malfunctions. That is why pressurized air filtration in industry is quite important. The filter elements which purify pressurized air from particles and oil should be replaced every 4-6 months depending on daily work durations, ambient temperature and the amount oil ejected by the compressor. Filter elements can’t be cleaned, clogged elements should be replaced.

Filters are manufactured at three levels of sensitivity and are joined to the installment sequentially depending on the priority:

1- General Purpose (Inlet) Pressurized Air Filter: Filter series which end with the code -00. It is used at compressor outlet and pressurized air dryer inlet and retains particles up to 1μm, oil content of the air after filtration will be 0,5 mg/m3 max. and has a blue filter element inside.

2- Medium Sensitivity (Outlet) Pressurized Air Filter: Filter series which end with the code -01. It is used to filter dry air coming out of the pressurized air dryer and retains particles up to 0,1μm. Oil content of the air after filtration will be 0,5 mg/m³ max. and has a red filter element inside.

3- Active Carbon Pressurized Air Filter: Filter series which end with the code -02. Odor filters. oil content of the air after filtration will be 0,5 mg/m³ max. and has a red filter element inside.
