When Using AAG Compressed Air Filters

Reason for Using Filters

A significant amount of oil, water and dirt is transferred to the pneumatic control devices, hand tools, drugs, chemicals and foodstuffs with the compressed air produced by the operation of compressors.

The goal is to prevent the oil, water and any foreign particles entering these circuits.

In some circuits no oil is wanted. On all percussion and vibration moving machine and tools for pneumatic use, the watery, dirty or burned oil coming from the compressors is not paid attention to because the air is made oily by air conditioning units. However when the oil coming from the compressors, being watery and dirty and having lost its properties enters into the circuit lubrication oil, it spoils the properties of the clean oil and lubrication causes damage instead of benefit. For this reason first filter your air with these filters before using. This way you will be free from frequent failures and achieve quality production, productive work power and time and cost savings.

Places Where the Filters Will Be Generally Used

  • At final cooling exits of air compressors
  • At air dryer exits
  • Within various circuits
  • At isolated exits
  • At condenstop exits
  • In all areas where compressed air is used
Points to Observe When Using AAG Compressed Air Filters

  • Read use instructions carefully before using your filter
  • Do not keep your filter near combustible or flammable materials
  • Do not keep your filter in dusty, dirty, rusty or moist environments
  • Do not use any metal tools of equipment and abrasive cleaners (chemicals) to clean your filter. You may damage your filter.
  • Do not drop your filter during moving and transportation, avoid hard blows
  • Lift filters weighing 25 kg and above with forklift or levers
Operation of the Filter

  • At initial operation set the compressed air input and exit valves of your filter to closed position
  • Slowly set the compressed air input valve to open position
  • Slowly set the compressed air exit valve to open position
  • When changing the internal component; shut the input and exit valves and open the by-pass valve
Before Using the Filter

  • Check your filter for assembly and shipment errors
  • Check for any leaks in the air installation your filter will be used on
Mistakes Made During Use

  • Check whether the connection inputs and exits of your filter are the same as shown by the arrows on the filter
  • Select your filter to be suitable to the location it will be used
  • Do not operate at a pressure and flow which are in excess of its capacity
  • Do not use outdoors
  • To avoid disruption to indicator settings do not interfere
  • If the installation your filter is connected to has any by-pass lines, set the by-pass valve to closed position
